Work is well under way on producing the 2009
19(F)sqn charity calendar, raising funds for the YSBYTY Gwynedd,
Bangor (Special Care Baby Unit at Bangor Hospital, North
Wales).
2008 marks the 70th anniversary of 19(F)sqn equipping with the
Spitfire at Duxford in Cambridgeshire, making 19sqn the first RAF
squadron to equip with the famous fighter. To mark this anniversary
and help publicise their fundraising endeavours, 19sqn have received
both sponsorship and special permission to repaint one of their Hawk
fast jet trainers in a camouflage scheme as worn by the spitfires
during the Battle of Britain.
Mike Rondot has been specially
commissioned to produce a limited edition print of the new colour
schemed Hawk flying in formation along side a Spitfire in 19sqn
marks above the white cliffs of Dover. For more information on this
